Elabify has partnered with China Telecom as a premier solution provider capable of integrating industrial and consumer devices to the networks latest communication technology: “NB-IoT.”

China Telecom has built the world’s largest NB-IoT network with over 310,000 base stations extending coverage to all of China. NB-IoT, or Narrow Band for the Internet of Things, uses a newly released 800MHz spectrum of communication to enable low power consumption devices to communicate many miles further than traditional cellular GSM/CDMA type connections. While this communication comes with slower speed, the low cost – as little as 20 RMB (about $3 USD) a year for 20,000 messages – is attracting many device manufacturers to take note. With NB-IoT chips costing less than $5 USD, the technology is being embedded in a wide range of devices where previous cellular connections were too costly, yet Wi-Fi was unavailable or insecure.

Elabify is helping Guandong based consumer and industrial clients learn the basics of integrating to the China Telecom NB-IoT platform using Huawei’s OceanConnect platform. Elabify’s consulting services alleviates device manufacturers from solving complex hardware, cloud and security implementations while quickly taking advantage of China Telecom’s network capabilities. Application implementations have included consumer cooking devices, home security devices, and automotive integrations.
